8.5 PHASE DELAY HANDSET COMMANDS
There are three handset commands which can be used to specify phase delays or
modify information previously entered in the configuration prom. Up to 60 entries can
be made to specify the phase to be delayed, how many seconds it is delayed by, and on
which stage to stage movement the phase is to be delayed.
DPG - The Phase Delay time in seconds.
DMV - Updates Delayed phase Movement Table.
DFZ - Updates Phase to be delayed Table.
DMV x=y - x is in range [0 - (No. of phase delays configured - 1)] and is a
decimal number.
- y is a hex no. where the left hand digit of y indicates the ‘from’
stage and right hand digit of y indicates the ‘to’ stage.
- e.g. y = 35H indicates a phase is delayed when going from
stage 3 to stage 5 (the phase to be delayed will be specified in
the appropriate position in the phase to be delayed table).
DFZ x=y - x is in range [0 - (No. of phase delays configured - 1)] and is a
decimal value.
- y is a letter indicating the phase to be delayed.
- If the 10th phase delay was to delay Phase F then entry is DFZ
9=F.
Thus, if we wanted to introduce a new phase delay to the existing 10 phase delays in a
given configuration we could do it via the handset. For example delay phase E for 12
seconds in going from stage 2 to stage 1:
DMV 10=21
DFZ 10=E
DPG 10=12
8.6 EFFECT OF RED EXTENSIONS AND SDE/SA
During the red extension period or SDE/SA extra clearance period (see sections 7.2
and 6.4), delay timings for phases gaining ROW are suspended and the delays will
occur unchanged at the end of the period. However, it is possible to configure delay
times for individual gaining phases such that they will not be suspended during an extra
clearance requested by SDE/SA (see section 6.4).
