19.1 LAMP MONITOR + OTU (NOT RED LAMP MONITORING)

With the standard lamp monitoring, 5 outputs can be used from the LMU which are

activated as follows:

Fault Output 0 - Red lamp failure on any 3 aspect vehicle phase

Fault Output 1 - Activated if a second red lamp fails on any 3 aspect vehicle

phase where a red lamp has previously failed

Fault Output 2 - Any one lamp (red, amber, green, regulatory sign or wait

indicator) on an input being monitored fails

Fault Output 3 - Active if a second red lamp failure is pending on any 3

aspect vehicle phase where a red lamp has already failed

Fault Output 4 - Activated if a green lamp on any 3 aspect vehicle phase has

failed

Fault Output 4

These LMU outputs connected directly to OTU to give required reply bits when LMU

outputs are activated.

These outputs have no effect on controller operation.
