(C4) RLF2 Cancel Option (PROM item - RLF2_CANCEL_RLF1)
This byte contains one bit for each RLM group:-
Bit 7 Bit 6 ... Bit 1 Bit 0
Group 7 Group 6 ... Group 1 Group 0
0 = RLF2 has no effect on RLF1.
1 = When RLF2 is activated, any phase appearance delays due to
RLF1 on this RLM group are cancelled.
(C5) Switch off/inhibit Option (PROM item - RLF2_SWITCH_OFF)
This byte contains one bit for each RLM group:-
Bit 7 Bit 6 ... Bit 1 Bit 0
Group 7 Group 6 ... Group 1 Group 0
0 = When phases are inhibited by RLF2, the phases display red.
1 = When phases are inhibited by RLF2, the phases are switched off
(i.e. blackout). This option is used for part-time signals and care
must be taken when configuring to ensure that all phases on a
stream are blacked out.
(C6) RLM Latching Option (PROM item - LATCHED_RLMS)
This word contains two bits for each RLM group and each bit pair selects latching or
non-latching operation for RLF1 and RLF2:-
... Bit 3Bit 2Bit 1Bit 0
... Group 1
RLF2
Group 1
RLF1
Group 0
RLF2
Group 0
RLF1
‘Even’ bits: 0 = The effect of RLF1 is removed when the faulty lamp is replaced.
1 = A manual reset is required to clear RLF1.
‘Odd’ bits: 0 = The effect of RLF2 is removed when the faulty lamps are
replaced (assuming the signals have not been switched off).
1 = A manual reset is required to clear RLF2.
Note that for a part-time controller, RLF2 should be configured as non-latching as the
latching effect is achieved in the RLM unit since the lamps are switched off.
