25.2.4 Cover
The PCB is fitted with a cover (part number 667/2/25192/000 front, 667/2/25193/000
rear).
The cover must ALWAYS be fitted before any cables are installed, and should
NEVER be removed whilst the telephone cable (from socket SK1 on the PCB) is
connected to the telephone network.
In the UK, removal of this cover invalidates BABT approval.
If the PCB is for RLM only, it may be sub-equipped. In this case, the telephone socket
and associated electronics are not fitted, and thus, no cover is required.
25.2.5 Configuring the Switches on the Ancillary Processor PCB
Before any connectors are attached to the Ancillary Processor PCB, the configuration
switches need to be set up as described below. Figure 25.1 shows the position of the
switches on the PCB and the directions to set the switches to for different options.
There are 4 switches on the PCB:
S1 - 2/4 Wire Select Switch
S2 - Lithium Battery On/Off Switch
S3 - Line Level Switch
S4 - 600 Ohm/High Impedance Switch
(If the PCB is not being used as an OTU, switches S1, S3 and S4 can be ignored.)
These are set as follows;
1. S1 - 2/4 Wire Select Switch
Set to either 2 or 4 wire as required by the position indicated on the
installation sheet for the Integral OTU.
2. S2 - Lithium Battery On/Off Switch
Set the Lithium Battery Switch (S2) to ON.
3. S3 - Line Level Switch
Ensure that the Line Level switch (S3) is set to the required line levels.
These are stated on the installation information sheet for the Integral OTU.
The table below shows switch settings corresponding to the different
levels. Switch S3 is a 6-way DIL switch. Switch positions 1 to 4 set the
Output Power and switch positions 5 and 6 set the Receive Threshold.
