17.5 I/O LINE ALLOCATION
Each of the following functions may be allocated to an I/O line:
Input functions
UTC ped. inhibit PV
UTC ped. demand PX
UTC take over TO (enable SC, PV, PX)
UTC switch to FVP working
UTC switch to alternative timings
UTC Dim Override / remote dim control DO
UTC vehicle extensions inhibit SC
UTC RTC Sync. bit, UTCTS
UTC fall back mode FM
local link disable LL
local link ped. inhibit PV1
local link ped. demand LD
call/cancel ped. demand CC
3 vehicle extension detectors
2 push button ped. demand (4 on PB322 issue 2 and higher)
Output functions
UTC vehicle green confirm GX
UTC wait indicator confirm WT
UTC ped. green confirm PG
UTC RTC Reply, UTCCS
UTC fall back confirm FC
DFM fail confirm DF
UTC signals off confirm SO
local link disable confirm LL
UTC bright confirm SOC
remote reconnect RR (active state = disconnect)
link out (vehicle green confirm)
link out (bright confirm)
A description of each of these I/O functions is given in Section 17.10 and the Works
Specification defines which functions are defaulted to which I/O line.
In addition it is possible to:
(a) enable/disable DFM on each input.
(b) define the action taken when DFM on an input detects a fault as:
- continue to use input as before.
- override input state to active.
- override input state to inactive.
(c) invert the sense of particular inputs.
(d) define number of red lamp monitor channels used on each pelican/pedestrian
traffic phase.
NOTE: All outputs are defaulted as open contact for active.
