Alternatively, a special conditioning flag can be set from the MTC timetable to indicate

when to switch to bright, allowing the time of dim state change to be altered by

changing the timetable using the handset. However, care must be taken when changing

any timetable times/functions via the handset, to ensure that the dim state change time

has not altered. In addition, this alternative uses up the ‘Parameter Table’ rapidly if

functions/switches need to be active in both states, i.e. dim and bright. This is because

in this situation two parameters would be required both identical except for the special

conditioning flag controlling the dimming. The flag would be set in one parameter and

not set in the other.

18.8 T400 FAILURE FLASHER UNIT

The Hardware Failure Flasher can flash up to 16 individual aspects, the basic assembly

catering for 4 aspects. Additional kits catering for further groups of four aspects may

be added to provide switching for up to 16 phases.

The On/Off periods are variable on the Fail Flasher from 0 to 1260 mS (1.26 Secs.) in

20mS steps. Flasher periods should not be set below 240mS for either the On or Off

periods.

18.10 CONTROLLER DOOR STAY FACILITIES

Two alternatives exist:-

The large doors may each be fitted with a door stay which automatically locks the door

when opened at an angle of approximately 90 degrees. Lifting the stay bar allows the

doors to be closed. The door stay facility can be disabled simply if not required.

Although normally a factory fitted facility it is possible to implement it in the Field.

Alternatively, for maintenance purposes, a Door Stop can be fitted.

18.11 INTERNAL ILLUMINATION

Used on single sided access only. Bulkhead type lamp operated by door activated

microswitch.
