Detectors
Load Calculation
Maximum O/P current = 500 milliamps
Current per Regulator board = 16 milliamps (1 regulator per beehive)
Current per detector board = 48 milliamps
Minimum input voltage to regulator = 32v
Minimum power supply output voltage = 35.4v
Maximum number of cards driven
Assuming two beehives the maximum number of cards that can be driven from
the Power Supply is nine.
Maximum feeder length (9 Cards)
Using the same figures for cable resistance as previously (0.0362 Ohms/metre
loop) and assuming the maximum number of cards then:
Maximum feeder length is approximately 200 metres.
Using the above figures the length can be calculated for any number of
detectors if required.
SDE/SA Detection
Using Triple SDE on two lanes (8 cards)
The Controller must be within 70 metres of the stop line.
