17.12.3 Special Detector checking.
This facility is used in VA Mode. When enabled the Controller checks that during the
Vehicle Green period the detector output changes state. If no change in state is
detected then the All Red period is set to 3 Secs.
NOTE The use of these commands is fully explained in the T400 Controller Handset
Command List. (See section on Pelican).
17.13 CLF FACILITIES
The only effect of CLF on a pelican controller is to provide a ped. inhibit signal. There
is a corresponding group influence to cancel this ped inhibit influence i.e. an “Allow
Ped” influence which is used to provide a ped window. This CLF inhibit signal inhibits
the Pedestrian phase for as long as this input is active provided that there is an Allow
Ped influence somewhere in the same group. If there is no Allow Ped influence within
the same group then the CLF input has no effect.
17.14 CROSS INHIBIT LINKING (DUAL PELICAN)
To ensure that both pedestrian phases do not run green simultaneously enter the
required handset command. For simultaneous demands stream 0 is the Master stream
and stream 1 the slave. i.e. if simultaneous pedestrian demands are received the Master
stream will run the Ped. phase but the slave stream will be inhibited until such time that
the Traffic green on Stream 0 is re-established.
