Actions
Enable ServerNet Port
Enables the specified ServerNet port on this PIC. Perform this action only as directed by OSM
alarm repair actions. Each PIC contains two to four ports.
Parameter: Port Number
Power Off
Removes power to the PIC.
When a crosslink PIC is powered off or removed, the loss of ServerNet cluster traffic on a single
fabric is expected. Other nodes in the cluster continue to communicate over that fabric. ServerNet
cluster traffic on the lost fabric is automatically restored when the crosslink PIC is reinserted or
powered on.
Power On
Restores power to the PIC.
Replace
Launches the guided procedure to replace a ServerNet PIC in a processor switch.
Set LED State
Turns on or off the amber LED located on the PIC. The current state is indicated by the LED State
attribute.
ServerNet Port
In OSM, this object represents ports on:
• ServerNet PICs located within Processor Switches
• ServerNet Switch Boards located within IOAM Enclosures
• 4-Port ServerNet Extenders (4PSEs) located only in HP Integrity NonStop NonStop NS14000
or NonStop NS1000 systems containing IOAMs
• VIO Logic Board located in systems containing VIO enclosures.
OSM displays five ports under a VIO Logic Board -- ports 1 through 4 provide connectivity to
processors 0 through 3; port 5 represents the crosslink connectivity to the VIO enclosure on
the opposite fabric.
• Optical Extender PICs located only in HP Integrity NonStop NonStop NS14000 series, NS2000
series, NS2100, NS2200 series, NS2300, NS2400 series, NS1200, or NonStop NS1000
systems containing VIO enclosures.
In slot 2, an extender PIC can be used for connectivity to additional processors, with ports 1
through 4 corresponding to processors 4 through 7.
In slot 5 (Integrity NonStop NS14000 series servers only), an extender PIC can be used for
ServerNet cluster connectivity. Port 1 is where the cable from the cluster switch is physically
connected to. For more information about ServerNet cluster connectivity for VIO enclosures,
see the ServerNet Cluster Supplement for NS-Series.
• ServerNet switches located in Enclosures in NonStop BladeSystems. Under these port objects,
OSM displays Fiber objects.
