Umweltschutz

Global environment management

With our global environmental management in accordance

with ISO 14001 we are protecting the environment to the

same high standard in all parts of the world.

The same requirements are placed on every site; external

institutes ensure, at regular intervals, that they are being

observed.

As well as satisfying both statutory

requirements and those imposed by the

relevant authorities, our environmental

management system aims to utilize

natural resources efciently. For that rea-

son, we use our technological expertise

to design and manufacture our electronic components in

the most environmentally compatible way possible. We

are continuously optimizing our products and processes in

order to use materials in a way that minimizes the impact

on resources, to use substitutes for hazardous materials

wherever possible, and to reduce waste to a minimum.

Material data sheets

An obligatory list of materials and substances has its

foundations in our quality management system, and this

guarantees that a consistent procedure is applied to all

our products. We are, moreover, active in a large number

of committees, working groups and commissions associ-

ated with the electronics industry, with the aim of pushing

forward the standardization of material data sheets for

electronic components. The materials contained in our

products are listed in detail on these material data sheets,

so that customers, in turn, can satisfy the environmental

requirements imposed upon them.

Substances in components regulated by law (RoHS)

Although components are not directly covered by Directive

2011/65/EU (RoHS), we observe this directive on the basis

of the current state of knowledge. With due consideration

to the exemptions dened in the Annex III to 2011/65/EU,

all our products are free

of:

Cadmium and cadmium compounds

Hexavalent chromium

Mercury and mercury compounds

PBBs and PBDEs

Lead and lead compounds.

Mit unserem globalen Umweltmanagement nach

ISO 14001 sorgen wir für Umweltschutz auf weltweit

gleich hohem Niveau.

Für alle Standorte gelten dieselben Anforderungen, deren

Einhaltung in regelmäßigen Abständen von externen Insti-

tuten geprüft wird.

Neben dem Erfüllen behördlicher und

gesetzlicher Auagen ist es das Ziel

unseres Umweltmanagements, natür-

liche Ressourcen efzient einzusetzen.

Dazu gestalten wir auf der Grundlage

unserer Technologiekompetenz unsere

elektronischen Bauelemente und deren Herstellung so

umweltverträglich wie möglich. Unsere Produkte und

Prozesse optimieren wir kontinuierlich hinsichtlich eines

ressourcenschonenden Materialeinsatzes, substituieren

Gefahrstoffe nach Möglichkeit und reduzieren Abfälle auf

ein Minimum.

Materialdatenblätter

In unserem Qualitätsmanagement-System ist eine verbind-

liche Material- und Substanzliste verankert, die für unsere

Produkte ein einheitliches Vorgehen garantiert. Darüber

hinaus sind wir in zahlreichen Gremien, Arbeitsgruppen

und Kommissionen der Elektronikindustrie tätig, um die

Standardisierung von Materialdatenblättern elektronischer

Bauelemente voranzutreiben. Die Inhaltsstoffe unserer

Produkte sind in solchen Materialdatenblättern detailliert

aufgeführt, damit Kunden wiederum die an sie gestellten

Umweltauagen erfüllen können.

Gesetzlich geregelte Substanzen in Bauelementen

(RoHS)

Obwohl Bauelemente nicht direkt vom Geltungsbereich

der Richtlinie 2011/65/EU (RoHS) betroffen sind, folgt das

Unternehmen dieser Richtlinie nach heutigem Wissens-

stand. Unter Beachtung der im Anhang III von 2011/65/EU

festgelegten Ausnahmen sind unsere Produkte frei

von

Cadmium und Cadmiumverbindungen

sechswertigem Chrom

Quecksilber und Quecksilberverbindungen

PBB und PBDE

Blei und Bleiverbindungen.

“frei” bedeutet, dass die im Art. 4 der Richtlinie 2011/65/EU genannten Stoffe

im homogenen Material mit weniger als 0.1% enthalten sein können.

“free” means that the substances listed in para. 4 of Directive 2011/65/EU

may be contained in the homogeneous material less than 0.1%.
