18.1.2 Setting notification via the SMTP server
Prerequisites
z The SISTORE MX NVS software has been started.
z See Section "1423HStarting SISTORE MX NVS and logging in“, page 1424H17.
z The SISTORE MX NVS software is in configuration mode.
z See 455HSection "1425HOpening configuration mode", page 1426H18.
1. Select the E-mail and SMS tab.
2. Enter the IP address or name of the outgoing mail server in the text field Name
or TCP/IP address.
This is either
z the IP address of the mail server available on the network
or
z the IP address or name of an SMTP server of a service provider
or
z the IP address or name of an ESMTP server of a service provider
Example: 123.45.67.8 or mail.providername.com
The fields User name and Password must only be filled out if an ESMTP server is
used.
3. Enter the user name for the ESMTP server in the User name text field.
4. Enter the password for the ESMTP server in the Password text field.
5. Enter the object name or SISTORE MX NVS server name in the e-mail address
format in the Sender text field.
Example: [email protected]
Note
If this information is not available, contact your network administrator or Internet service provider.
6. Click Apply.
