2.8 8th step: Configuring the IM 151-7 CPU as an I slave and

the S7-300 as a DP master

Change the configuration of the IM 151-7 CPU as follows:

1 Start the Hardware Configuration program for

the IM 151-7 CPU as described in step 4.

The Editor used to edit the hardware

configuration opens.

2 In the Properties – MPI/DP menu, select the

interface type PROFIBUS.

3 The Properties – PROFIBUS Interface

MPI/DP window then opens.

 Set the slave address to 4.

 Click on the New button;

the New Subnet PROFIBUS window then

opens.

4 Check the settings in the Properties – New

Subnet PROFIBUS window and confirm with

OK.

5 Select the command Save and compile in the

Station menu.

The hardware configuration is compiled and

saved.

6 Download the configuration to the

IM 151-7 CPU by means of the MPI and close

the Hardware Editor.

The ET 200S now has the DP address 4; the

Editor is closed.
