Routing
By means of an IM 151-7 CPU configured as a master and with STEP 7 as of V5.2
+ Service Pack 1, you can reach S7 stations across different subnetworks (MPI
interface / PROFIBUS-DP interface) using a PD/PC.
For example, you can load user programs or a hardware configuration or perform
testing and commissioning functions.
Note
If you use the your CPU as an I slave, the routing function can only be used when
the DP interface is active.
Activate the Commissioning/Test Mode checkbox in the DP interface properties in
STEP 7 (see Section 4.1).
