4.4 Send-Receive Services
Before
you configure a Send-Receive job, you must first define an FDL
connection using the COM5434 Configurator
. T
o define an FDL connection,
follow the steps described in Section 5.7.
The FMS CP module supports Send and Receive job types with FDL
connections. T
o configure a Send or Receive job, follow the steps described in
Section 5.10.
Figure 4-6 shows the data flow of each Send-Receive communication job.
Each job must be configured in both the module executing the Send job and
the module executing the Receive job.

In general, it is best not to configure more than one Send or Receive
job for each FDL connection.

CAUTION
The
FMS CP module fails if you try to execute two Receive jobs at the same
time on a single FDL connection. Module failure could cause unexpected
results in your control application, which could result in personal injury
, and/or
damage to property
.
T
o avoid this problem, do not program more than one Send or Receive job to
execute simultaneously on a single connection.
