7.12 Key lock and write protection
Introduction
You can use this function to lock the keys or activate write protection to safeguard the saved
parameters.
Lock options
You have the following lock options:
Table 7-3 Meaning of the HART lock modes
Lock mode Meaning
0 The device can be operated by means of the keys and HART communication.
LA Keys on the transmitter are locked.
Exception:
● Releasing key lock
The device can be operated by means of HART communication.
LO Keys on the transmitter are partially locked.
Exception:
●
Setting start of scale value
● Releasing key lock
The device can be operated by means of HART communication.
LS Keys on the transmitter are partially locked.
Exception:
●
Setting start of scale value
● Setting full scale value
● Releasing key lock
The device can be operated by means of HART communication.
LL Write protection
You can now only release the lock using HART communication.
