10.5 Configuring camera settings
10.5.1 Configuring day/night settings
1. Open the unit’s home page. See Section 7.4 Accessing the unit’s home page.
2. In the Configuration menu, select the menu option Camera and the
Day/Night Settings suboption.

3. Enter the desired settings in this dialog.
D/N mode The day/night function offers the options “Auto”, “Color” and “Mono” (black/white).
External control can also be used to switch between color and black/white..
z AUTO
With this settings, the IP camera switches to color or black/white recording depending
on the brightness of an object’s environment. (If the GAIN is set to OFF, the automatic
function is not available.)
z MONO
The IP camera remains in black/white mode with this setting.
z COLOR
The IP camera remains in color mode with this setting.
z MANUAL
In this operating mode, the IP camera is set manually to color or black/white if a
corresponding signal is applied to the terminal (B/W) on the back.
D/N level Prerequisite:
This setting is only relevant if the AUTO option has been selected for D/N mode.
z LOW
The switching point from color to black/white mode occurs at a brightness of 1 lux.
z STANDARD
The switching point from color to black/white mode occurs at a brightness of 2 lux.
z HIGH
The switching point from color to black/white mode occurs at a brightness of 4 lux.
D/N delay Prerequisite:
This function is only in effect if the AUTO option has been selected for D/N mode.
This allows the delay time for th day/night function to be set.
Select 0, 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds as the delay time for day/night switching.
