10.4.3 Configuring JPEG encoder settings

The live video image can be displayed at the following resolutions:

z Low

z Standard

z High

You can assign a quality level to each resolution.

The table below shows guideline values in kilobytes for the size of data stream

required for image transmission. The size of the data stream depends on the

resolution setting and the chosen quality level.

Image size Low quality Medium quality High quality

176 x 144 4 KB 5 KB 12 KB

352 x 288 9 KB 11 KB 34 KB

704 x 576 26 KB 37 KB 137 KB

The values shown relate to a color image of average complexity.

1. Open the unit’s home page. See Section 7.4 Accessing the unit’s home page.

2. Select Image parameters in the Configuration menu.
