7.4 Handling several calls (call holding, call waiting, call pre-emption)
You may put an existing call on hold to make another call or to answer another incoming
call.
You have the option to put a point-to-point call on hold to answer another incoming
call. However, an incoming call of a higher priority may be answered automatically,
which will end an ongoing call (pre-emption).
7.4.1 Putting a point-to-point call on hold
Before putting another user on hold you must tell them that you are about to put them on
hold.

To put a call on hold choose the function ‘Hold/Swap
call’ from the in call menu, press

Once the call is on hold, the cab radio displays a
reminder message.
If you are put on hold by another cab radio
user then you will not receive any permanent
indication. The display will show for five
seconds only.
If you are put on hold by the signaller, the
only indication you will receive is the ‘on-hold’
tone.
