Note on User Login

If you log on as user, you will only have restricted use of WEB and Telnet. Since

you only have read access, some commands do not exist in Telnet and some ar-

eas cannot be selected.

5.1.2 The LED Simulation of Web Based Management

Display of the Operating State

The SCALANCE W744 has one or more LEDs that provide information on the op-

erating state of the device (see Chapter 2). Depending on its location, direct ac-

cess to the SCALANCE W744 may not always be possible. Web Based Manage-

ment therefore displays simulated LEDs.

Activating the Simulation

There is an HTML-based simulation of the LED status. Click on the green icon be-

low the Console link to activate the simulation:
