Auto run-on facility

Some models have an automatic run-on facility, which keeps

the rangehood working for an additional 10 minutes and helps

remove any lingering cooking odours.

Intermittent operation

This setting allows the hood to

ventilate the kitchen at hourly

intervals using the lowest fan

setting. The fan operates every

hour for approximately ﬁve

minutes at the lowest setting

and is ideal for removing

lingering odours.

Ultra-sound control sensors

Siemens has developed a special

sensor that uses ultra-sound to

detect steam and automatically

adjusts the extraction power

to the most suitable setting.

Classic Siemens design

Designed to coordinate with other Siemens cooking

appliances, our rangehoods’ contemporary looks are

showcased in the LC958BA90, which shares the same

lightControl operational concept as our top of the

range ovens.

Intensive setting with automatic reset facility

The intensive setting gives an extra boost to the extraction level and is particularly useful when extra extraction

is needed, for example, during stir-frying. As the intensive setting is only required for a short period of time,

the rangehood will automatically revert to a lower speed setting after a few minutes.

Softlight dimmer function

Thanks to the dimmer light function, you

can set the brightness of the rangehood to

provide atmospheric lighting in the kitchen.

When the light is switched on, the light

builds up gradually to the chosen setting.

Similarly, when you switch the light off, the

light gradually fades away. When the light

is on, its intensity can also be adjusted

to suit your individual requirements.

varioControl

Available on the LI49632 and LI48932 slideout rangehood, the position

of the controls can be set to four different positions to suit your own

individual requirements. The control can be mounted on the front edge,

front top or positioned on the right or left hand side of the rangehood.

It also has the option to ﬁt a stainless steel décor panel strip.

Noise levels and sound insulation

There are two commonly used measures for noise

levels – sound pressure (dBA) and sound power (dB).

Although dBA (sound pressure) is the most quoted,

the results can vary accordingly. Siemens prefer to

use the sound power (dB) method, which requires

measurements to be made under strict testing criteria

in a sound insulated room. This ensures meaningful

comparisons can be made between different models

tested in this way. Many Siemens models have

additional sound insulation around the motor

to keep noise as low as possible.

Pivoting glass canopy

As well as touch-control operation, the model

LC955KA40 features a glass canopy that pivots up

and down, providing easier access to the cooktop,

together with maximum steam capture when you

need it most.

Bright lighting

Every hood model offers excellent illumination of the

cooktop surface. The 20 W halogen bulbs (on most

of the range) emit a bright, white light and are more

efﬁcient than standard bulbs.

Dishwasher-safe metal grease ﬁlters and ﬁlter boxes

All the metal grease ﬁlters on Siemens rangehoods

can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Some models

(particularly those with glass canopies) have their

ﬁlters in a box, which are also removable and can

be washed in a dishwasher.

Electronic saturation display

As ﬁlters become saturated with grease, extraction

performance deteriorates. So to ensure that the

rangehood always works as efﬁciently and safely

as possible, the rangehood will automatically

advise when the ﬁlters need cleaning or replacing.

Rim ventilation function

The LC958BA90 model features stylish clip on covers,

which not only have a premium appearance, they also

conceal the grease ﬁlters. Solid covers also allow for

‘rim ventilation’, where the air is extracted around

the edges of the cover and then ﬁltered.
